sbp309rt
The Old Tower

This thing started with me wanting to build a tower with rounded edges, but without using macaroni pieces. And it sort of just evolved from there. My two main goals where: Build something I think looks cool and something that would be stable enough to actually play with.

The back wall of the tower can be removed by removing 2 pieces and turning both gears. The staircase is integrated into the walls for stability. The whole tower can be removed from the island base.

For the house, I wanted to create it with angled walls, but without using macaroni or facet bricks. This was done with a combination of hinges and jumpers, and the just built up from there. I added various small builds of furniture and other things to make it feel like an old wizard might be living there.

I wanted to build the roof so it kinda looks like a wizards hat. The roof can be split into 2 sections. It contains a small storage room and a ladder to access it from below.

I am quite pleased with the overall look and feel. But there are of course things I would like to change. And because of the level of detail it uses quite a lot of pieces. Let's call it a version 1 :D. I want try and build it with actual pieces next. This will of course mean color swaps, piece swaps etc. But also give me a chance to fix any stability issues that might exists.
